I'm running this corsair. its default setting was 800 5-5-5-18 on 1.85v and runs fine.

I changed it to the rated setting of 1066, 5-5-5-15 on 2.1v. I ran memtest and it gave over 4000 errors over 9 hours. It will boot to windows, but causes errors so that scandisk runs and finds errors.

I'm running on a EVGA 780i mobo.

Am I doing something wrong? Or should I RMA it? Thanks.

Set it back to default or return it. Your call.

It could be your mobo dont like the 2.1v.

DDR2 1066 RAM are known to have compatibility issues. That's why I always recommend DDR2 800.

Do you have the latest bios from EVGA loaded? Also, have you tried increasing your memory controller voltage? You may a little more SPP aka memory controller voltage to run at 1066 vs stock settings.
