9850X4 bottleneck?

K9A2 mobo, 8GB DDR 800, dual 4850s, 500GB @ 7200 RPM

Is the CPU the biggest bottleneck here? Do X4s OC well?

What res are you running at?

Oh, and as for overclocking, I wouldn't expect much. Phenoms don't have a ton of headroom, though you should be able to achieve a mild to moderate bump.

Yeah, it really depends on the res.

It will be a bottleneck in some CPU bound games, but you'll still get very playable framerates.

As for overclocking, 9850BEs should hit about 3GHz or so, nothing spectacular but it'll alleviate the bottlenecking somewhat.

Its a good chance though. Phenom overclocks have been gradually getting better over time, I've seen many go over 3GHz even.

I guess its still dependant mainly on the SB though. Newer mobo would probably increase the chance.

I wounder how well a non BE would OC......
