Hey guys, I'm new to the forum and I was hoping someone could help me. I've have this computer for about a year now and am really needing more out of it for gaming but was hoping not to pay for an upgrade just yet. I've been searching for a decent guide of overclocking my Phenom 8450 but haven't really found anything and since I'm pretty new to overclocking and can't afford to screw up my computer(I'm at college and this is my only computer) I was hoping for some help from people who know what they're doing. I've seen people say they've got anywhere from 2.5 to 3 GHz out of this. Can someone tell me the best way to do this? Thanks for any help.
Oh, if it helps, I have a Gateway GT5692. Upgraded PSU to an OCZ GameXStream 600 Watt, and put in a Nvidia GTX 260 so the thing holding me back is the CPU.
