I'm getting these parts for a new computer I'm building:http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=3241539&CatId=2758 and the Radeon 4850.
I want to know what a good motherboard for this would be.

The link is only for a Q6700 CPU, is that normal?

Run your parts through www.shopbot.ca before you buy, I'm sure you can get much better prices than TigerDirect. For example the Q6700 you linked to is 354$, but with PC Village, you could get a Q9450 (45nm, 12MB cache, 1333FSB) for 300$.

IF you are going to Crossfire in the future get the X38/X48 Chipset. If you are not going to Crossfire get the P45 Chipset.

The P5E Deluxe is the X48 chipset and is the same as the Rampage Formula with out the LCD Poster and onboard buttons, and its cheaper. The Rampage Formula is a great board.

The P5Q Deluxe is a great P45 board. Its $280 @ Tigerdirect.ca

Get DDR2 Its cheaper and DDR3 is not that much faster.

DDR3 will be faster and cheaper in the long run. As long as you get a good deal on it now. Look at how unaccessible and expensive the DDR memory has become.

Even you get 8GB of PC-6400, you will barely beat 3GB of PC-16000. You also have to watch the huge price difference. The advantage of also have a board that takes DDR3 is that it will probably allow the latest processors, which can be a great upgrade solution.

Zenthar is right, if you're going Quad-Core, get the Q9450, the older models are overpriced.
