Im new to water cooling, and im looking into what i want to buy. Ive got an ati 4870 coming from newegg right now, and when i get the funds im going to get a set for watercooling the cpu and the gpu.

my main question is about brands. What brand makes better quality blocks, Koolance, or EKWaterblocks?

http://www.koolance.com/water-cooling/product_info.php?product_id=706
this is the one from Koolance

http://ekwaterblocks.com/shop/product_info.php?cPath=21_31_42&products_id=290
this is the one from EKWaterblocks

Ive never bought anything from either brands, so im not sure what i should go with.

Also the one from Koolance is Nickel plated solid copper, while the EK is Nickel plated electrolytic copper, and i dont know what one is better for cooling.

Koolance, EK, XSPC and Danger Den are your choices. I use DD, it works for me.

Here is some US places to buy and forums to have handy, plus other fun connections reviews etc.

I use the Swiftech MCW60...it has been compatible for me since the days of the 7800GTX ->8800GTS 640 -> 9800GTX with only a $10 adapter plate. The only downfall is that it is only a GPU block, you still need RAM sinks, whereas the DD and EK blocks are full-cover to cover your MOSFETS and your RAM, etc.

I suggest DD, EK or Swiftech. Koolance one might be alright since it is nickel plated/copper, but still not a big fan of the brand.

Yea its not much of an issue, this is technically my first build. I had bought an intel mobo/cpu without knowing what i actually wanted in my computer, and that didnt even have pci express 2.0 so i wouldnt have gotten the full use of my video card once i actually got it.

I read the guide to buying water cooling in the huge list of links that Conumdrum tossed out there, after reading that i decided to get each piece seperatly, when originally i was going to buy a thermaltake kit and add another rad/gpu block.

Ive got another question though. Ive seen in someplaces that people put two fans on their radiator, one pushing the air and one pulling the air, is that actually any better than just having one fan? and would it be alright to do that since the fans are pretty close to each other?

I was thinking about mounting a 120mm radiator on the inside of my tower, where the normal exhaust fan is, then haveing the exhaust fan over it, while having a second on the outside of my case to help the air flow better, if that actually helps.
