under $40k? loads of choices. why do you want a 1u unit? most people who want a nas want hot-swap bays; and you cant fit too many of those in a 1u container. you want a commercial solution? one that supports a specific raid level? one you can build yourself? how many drives/ how much storage space? how much do you want to spend?
