I use Windows Vista on a HP Pavilion Desktop a6530f PC, that has plenty of memory left and 4GB ram.
I use 3 external backup drives, 2 Western Digital and 1 Seagate, 1TB, 2TB and 3TB.
The external drives are are used primarily for storing Image Files, PDF files, equipment manuals, etc.
A while back I noticed that Factory_Image on my D Drive was filling up, 9% space left.
I noticed that Factory_Image was filling up while backing up the contents of one WD drive to another WD drive. What I later discovered is Western Digital was mirroring the contents of the drive to the Factory_Image drive AS WELL. I checked with Western Digital and downloaded a utility file that was supposed to stop that and just let me move or copy files through Windows Explorer and I use Tera Copy for that. I did NOT install the software for the 3TB Seagate.
I downloaded freeware called UltraSearch which is supposed to show all files.
I checked permissions and I should be able to see what's there but cannot. I'm stumped.
