Hi,
How do I run chkdsk on a partition that is at present not chowing in my XP, but that logical partition is showing in my partition magic software.
Whenever I am typing from the cmd the folllowings :
chkdsk F:, the following is being said :
Cannot open volume for direct access.
It all happened when I tried to reallocate spaces for my c drive which is in NTFS. But my logical drive was in FAT 32. So when i instructioned the partition magic software., the error started. My F drive is not showing in my My Computer/in my XP. But in the partition magic software I can see the partition and it is showing all the folders in the browse folder window of the partition magic software.
Can someone help me to revive my F directory. Can be mentioned here that I have successfully changed all my logical partition to NTFS now. I have 6 drives in my HD and all of the 5 drives are now in NTFS. My F: drive ( the one that I am now unable to see in my XP is in FAT 32.
try looking to see if the partition is hidden, when some software is done, it hides the partition, also, no one uses part magic any more, its all about paragon partition manager now.
