well I've seen the GX2 max load at around 360-380 depending on system, now the Q6600 runs around 100 watts when all 4 cores are maxed. So I'd personally say no. the 500 Watt seems to be a Tad too low. Ocing will be out of the question as well.

Either way I think other people have different opinions. Play it safe and get a 550 or 650 or 620 or 600 I'd say.

well at those resolutions the GX2 can pull its own weight, its better than the 260 and matches the 280 in most tests, and its cheaper than the 280 and in some cases even cheaper than the 260 now.

As for the 260 I wouldn't recommend as a buy, I would go for the 4870 or 4850, the 260 GTX is turning in the 9800 GTX, why buy a 9800 GTX when you can get a 8800 GTS 512.

Anyways, its power consumption requires atleast 500 watts so I think your good.

Your PSU should be OK with the GTX 260

But the 9800GX2 has a recommended 600W PSU
