Hi I need some help, my first computer I ever built is showing its age and I want to build another brand new one. I was going to buy a system but I just bought a house so the money I had is no longer there and I dont want to spend too much now. It will be used for gaming and I want something that is fairly high end.

I want to go with an Intel Processor and Motherboard that supports crossfire. I am probably going to wait and get the 4870 or get the 4870 2x.

Im looking for suggestions on the best choices for a good MoBo, processor, whether i should wait for the 4870 2x or just get one 4870 and crossfire another later?

Also this might be an odd question, my first build has horrible wiring, The Psu has so many wires i didnt know what to do with them, any tips or psu's that have few wires? Thanks in advance, just need a little more help this time around.

There would be no difference in performance between 4870 CF and 4870X2... you could go for any one. 4870X2 releases one month later than 4870... so you can CF and game away.

This would give you a heck of a lot of firepower:

CPU: Intel E8400: $190

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-EX38-DS4 : $180

RAM: 2GB DDR2 800 Crucial Ballastix : $20

GPU: Radeon 4870: $320

PSU: Corsair 750TX : $99

Total: $800

^ Good build. Probably won't need the 750w PSU, though. Get a 650 TX instead.

Actually, if you are worried about wiring, you should get a Corsair 620 HX. It is modular; should give you great cable management.
