What kind of temperatures am I looking for?

Hello, all. I've had my system set up since the weekend, but haven't had the time to get into overclocking, and I could use some info going in. Right now everything is factory stock, and the CPU runs at around 28-31 degrees idle, and according to OCCT, around 35 degrees under load (although it detected an error after only a minute, which is a big wtf to me...). The GPU runs at ~42-44 degrees idle, and mid 50s under load.

I'm wondering what are considered "safe" temperatures for both the CPU and GPU idle and under load after light overclocking. I was hoping to maybe bring the CPU from 2.8GHZ to 3.0 or somewhere in that area. I have AS5 on the CPU, but I plan on sticking to stock cooling for a long time to come.

As for the GPU, ATITool refuses to run for me under Vista Ultimate 64bit, so I don't even know how I would go about OCing and checking for stability in that area.
The build:
Gigabyte GA-MA790X-UD4P
AMD Phenom II x3 720BE
EVGA GTS250 512mb
4 Corsair DDR2 800mhz RAM
