HD2600XT AGP incompatibility with MSI MS7030 Motherboard

I am hoping to squeeze a bit more life from my ageing AGP fitted computer that has an AMD Athlon 64 3000+ processor, by replacing its graphics card with a Sapphire HD2600XT AGP 512 MB. I have hear reports of unspecified potential incompatibility. Does anyone out there have any positive info.? Or alternative suggestions.

Dont know of any reason why it shouldnt as MrsBytch says, There are some known issues with the 2600 AGP cards but these Hotfixdrivers are made for that issue.
