Max voltage and Overclocking Q9400

mobo: evga 790i ultra
cpu: q9400
ram: ocz 1800mhz SLI
GPU: gtx 280
fan: ultra kaze 3000rpm

i overclocked my cpu to 4ghz stable running at 50C max load.
cpu v1.6
mobo v1.55

can anything go wrong with such high voltages but low temps?

What are you cooling that cpu with??????????


and to answer your question, YES high voltage can damage your chip. It may last 10 days, 10 weeks, 10 months or 10 years..........no one knows, every chip is different. Anything over the recommended voltage spec of 1.3625v you are taking a risk, just depends on if it's worth it to you.
