External JBoD help..?

Hi. I have bought an external JBoD housing unit and two 1.5TB discs. Does anyone have any clue how to set this up as a JBoD?

There is no manual with the case! I changed the discs to dynamic (which I couldn't do through the housing unit) partitioned them both in my PC under dynamic. But when I plug it into the housing unit it doesn't pick up the partitions...
