Ok so here's the challenge and the reasons I need your help. I have a ~$400 budget. I have never, ever, ever, even attempted building legos before. (SLIGHT Exaggeration.) I'm trying to build a computer solely for the purpose of botting WoW accounts. This means I'll be running several (hopefully) instances of WoW on the lowest settings possible 24/7. Ideally the computer would be left on all day, every day. I have a monitor and all the input devices, I just need the computer. I plan on having some of my computer building friends to help me put it together. Additionally, I want to be able to monitor and control the computer from other computers, as with my line of work I can be gone for a few weeks.

Keep in mind that I've never done anything of this sort before. The people at Glider (WoW Botting Community) gave me a few general guidelines, but didn't exactly help that much. Heres what I've come up with so far off of newegg. Feel free to completely disregard this entire list and create a new one, or advise me on what to change about the list. If I'm missing an entire category here, like wireless adapters for my wireless internet connection or something, please speak up. I've listed everything I thought I needed but I definitely know this list could be improved/missing something.

Oh, and I just thought this case looked a bit cool for the price + it got decent reviews. I can totally forget the cool factor in favor of price/compatibility/heat factor.

umm... i dont think you are being sarcastic... although not sure?

The parts I chose were kinda just like... hey, I'm pretty sure I need one of these... + A good review + Price.

So, I'm looking for a bit more critical and technical answer than the one above.

Does seeing a $400 build make anyone else cringe?

strong processor and lots of memory will make the biggest impact on how it runs. And be carefull, apparently there have recently been a lot of bannings handed out to people who have been using bots like glider in wow. I know there are ways to protect yourself from their scans while playing the game, but still, be very carefull, cause when they ban one account for botting, they ban every account in WoW under the same payment info.

Currrently for your budget that looks pretty solid. Might try to go for a better dual core processor, but when its a budget build what can ya do. good luck with your botting/boxing

Thanks. Trust me, I'm aware with the risks in botting. Is there a certain processor that is a reasonably priced upgrade to this one? Also do you see anything I could cut back on?

Also any estimates on how many instances I'll be able to run?

to be honest i dont really see anything you could really cut back on. I dont really have much experience running anything more than 2 instances at a time on my 1.5k build, but i would think your current build would meet your needs.

eww you have a 1.5k build and your only dual gliding!? :P

on a side note would this build be upgradeable? also is everything i have so far.... like compatible and all? oh, and do I need to purchase something so that this will work with my wireless internet?
