Hi thanks for reading,

I have a 3850 radeon, and I ran my doom3 timedemo demo1 and got 60fps at 1024x res. The chart on toms (http://www.tomshardware.com/charts/desktop-vga-charts/doom-3,559.html?p=1599%2C1616%2C1615)

Says it runs at 130fps, why the huge difference?

(I have an AMD 790x chipset, AMD 64 5200+, 3850 256mb radeon)

Thanks!

You probably just have vsync enabled and monitor running at 60hz, so that fps doesn't exceed 60fps. It's normal, don't worry.

Also, sometimes I get 54fps on the timedemo too! Should I be worried now?

Maybe, but fps fluctuate. That 130fps is just the average. They don't actually tell you the range they got.
