What are the latest drivers for the 4850??

and why wont my card let me go to 1980x1050 but on my friends computer (xp) with the 4850 his willl let him run at that resolution, we tested on the same TV.

The latest drivers on the ATI support site are the Catalyst 8.6

Yep 8.6,
As for the res thing, try checking the control panel of the graphics card. See if your friend has any settings differant to yours. Im thinking maybe he has the hide resolutions my monitor wont support un ticked or maybe the force resolution box ticked.
