Favourites bar missing

I would like my favourites back on my bar

In Internet Explorer, click on the View menu and then on Toolbars, select which ones you want to show. If you can't see the View menu, press your Alt key and V together so the menus show up. That will automatically open the sub-menu list and when you click on Toolbars, select the Menubar as well as your chosen toolbar. That makes the menus show all the time.
