By "without touching the voltage", do you mean you left the voltage on auto? If so, that is bad - the motherboard will be overvolting it, perhaps to unsafe levels. Always manually set the voltage when overclocking.
Oh, and mine is doing fine temperature wise - I use a TRUE with dual fans.

I'm not sure what you are using your computer for, but I think you are already at the point of diminishing returns on your CPU speed. The Domino is a great little cooler, but to go higher you are going to have to apply some serious voltage/heat, and it won't be able to handle it. If you are looking at a stable 24/7 clock you are fine where you are. Your ram and video are going to bottleneck you at this point, assuming you are looking at high resolution gaming uses.
How is your Asus Rampage II Extreme? Did you tried Gigabyte Ex58-Extreme?
The only reason that prevent me of buying Asus Rampage II Extreme is that Gigabyte's board has more memory capabilities (up to 24GB of ram)..
I suffered of gigabyte motherboards before, the electric lite sounds (as if someone drinking water, softly) but (the RAM) drive me to buy it once again.

I'm beginning to think some people are using these forums for bragging right. If you're going to brag, do it right!!! You're QPI link is pathetic bud ^_^ If you run certain appications/games, you won't notice 4.4GHz running through it unless they utilizes it. And sometimes you will see the CPU bottleneck/hang. Enjoy ^_^
I konw in my sig I said "Everybody can OC" ... but what is the point to go higher then 4ghz, if it's not just for fun ok... But to be honnest for each 100ghz you will win you will not see the difference because your 8800 gts receive all the input she can manage but the troughput is at maximum speed. Even if your 8800gts can go faster roughly for each 100mghz you will have between 1-3 fps. you willnot see the difference beleive me.

The QPI won't bottleneck at that speed. I'll agree about the bragging rights though.
Also, slimin, what voltage are you running?
