Hello

My question is what card would be better for my system. I don't need the best graphics because I have my other puter for that.

I want a AGP card that takes less power but performs better.

Current Second System

AMD XP 2200+
768mb DDR
Leadtek Winfast A380 (5950 Ultra) 256mb AGP Card

Just curious what I can replace this big hog with. Its pretty quite and quick but just wanted something quieter and smaller.

yes, I know the system is old but still does wonders on XP for a second system for me.

Thanks for all the help

the best cards you can get is
3850 i would choose
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6814161225

or
2600XT
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6814102718
2600xt maybe more suitable for you i would never pay more than that for the old system
but the 2600xt will work will with you

Thanks for the reply but please read post a tad bit better....

I said I didn't want to have the best video card for this computer. Why, cause my CPU would be a huge bottleneck to any of those 2 video cards and I am running another computer that is my gaming center..

But thanks anwyays

I also agree with the 2600, and I read your original post twice.

but I wouldn't buy any new stuff at all for that old dinosaur. go craigs list or ebay.

I don't think your going to find the magic card you are looking for.

I don't need to look at benchmarks since I am not gaming... A Forum should be better then google so therefore I did know where to look.

I am not mad, but I am done with this..

Thanks

I suggest you buy a new one better than to upgrade your old system.
Small, good looking, loww power consumption but not very powerfull? hmm...Have you ever consider bout buying a barebone system? The ones from shuttle are quite nice.
