Hi Folks,

I just got myself a new Core i7 920 based system.I am going to put it altogether and try some overclocking (I am a total novice in this). What OC settings would you recommend for my system?
I would really appreciate any good ideas. Thanks!

Here are the specs:

Asus Rampage II Extreme MDB
CORSAIR XMS3 6GB (3 x 2GB) RAM
Antec New TP-750 Blue PSU

CM V8 CPU Cooler
LG Black 8X BD/DVD ROM
Seagate Barracuda 1.5TB 7200 RPM SATA HDD
CMStorm Sniper PC case

Completely dependent on how high you want to go. You should do some initial research on overclocking the 920s then come back. Temperature is going to be your most limiting factor. Is your i7 D0 or C0 stepping?

Man, those are some wicked parts you got ^_^

3.8GHz is a fine OC with minimum voltage increase. OC your RAM too.

Best way to understand overclocking is to get a Nehalem calculator program and your RAM calculator program.

I could somehow tweak it to 4.0Ghz without any pain at all.Working stable for more than 24hours already.Wow...I think I really like this game:)
