So I'm not into overclocking nor have I fully built a complete system on my own. I was wondering what the exact steps were to achieve DDR2 1200 on a mobo listed DDR2 1200 (O.C.) and the advantages, obvious or not, and the disadvantages. thanks

Just manually set the clock to 1200mhz in bios, that's about it. Ideally, if you want to use 1200mhz ddr2, get a motherboard that support it natively (without the "oc" tag).

Just curious but why were you interested in running your memory at this speed? It's not a common speed and it's really hard to even notice a difference from running at, say, 1066.
