Ok so i got a new laptop an Dell Inspiron 1545 and the Hard drive is making a clicking or popping sound maybe once every 3 hours or so. sounds different to the Click of death. So i am unsure it sounds like the very same click when the drive powers down and powers up. It has clicked while playing WoW so i dont know if the drive was shutting down or what.

Can anyone help.

As i said its the same noise as when the drive powers down from a shut down.

Try manufacturer hard disk diagnostics.

All done and tests past with no clicks durring the tests. Matter of fact i aint herd a click today
