On xtremesystems.com user "pccriminal” shows a few pictures of his success - unfortunately he hardly added any commentary. He achieved a CPU-Z validation with 5,015.48 MHz (185.75 x 27). The processor completed Super Pi within 8.672 seconds with about 4,800 MHz and in Cinebench it achieved a score of 21,818 with 4,600 MHz. The temperatures of the Intel Core i7 975XE unfortunately remain a secret.

lol. Yeah 5MHz? You mean 5000MHz or 5GHz. Also HT is disabled by the looks of it.

Regarding an HT-enabled 920 blowing this OCed 975XE... wouldn't the software have to be written to take advantage of HT first?

Yes it depends on software. But it'll be more impressive if HT was enabled.
