I used clockgen to overclock my Dell when I have XP home.
I got from 3GHZ to 3.5GHZ with great ease.

Now I have Vista SP1 and clockgen doesn't work.

Are their any overclocking software programs to OC the CPU
that will work in Vista SP1??

Thanks
Tom

Don't use Windows based OC software. Learn to use the BIOS.

My BIOS is Dell and they lock all OC options out.
SW overclock is my only choice.

mmm tough one there, what kind of CPU do you have? amd or intel? amd overdrive works excelently. its like a crude software BIOS

Sorry. To quote rambo, "mmm tough one there".

I googled "vista overclock software dell" and got a few hits that might be useful. Take a look.

ohhh, ok, well i dont bother much with software, BIOS is what use(what we all SHOULD use ahem). and i only use overdrive to downclock my CPU.

I already googled and looked for about an hour with no luck.
Plenty of hits but just because the keywords match in a post
doesn't mean there is an answer there. That is why I asked
here.

uhhhh, i know this is kind of far out but... BIOS update maybe? software OCing is just sooo unreliable and hard to find and i dont know where jsc is finding this stuff cause i googled it too.... there was easytune5? no clue what it is but its some auto clocking thing for intel procs. just skimmed it http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&sou [...] hJyCZFKiaQ

AOD gives me even more voltage controls than my k9a2 bios does actually lol
