which board should i get if i have E5200 for overclocking?!?
these are the other components: Antec 500 Basiq Power for PSU, Scythe Orochi 10 for HSF, XClio A380Plus for case, Sapphire HD 4870 512MB Toxic Edition, OCZ 4GB Plantium Rev 2 (i think) PC8500 5-5-5-15 w/ XTC Cooler for RAM (or should i traded in for another set of RAM)

i tried out the Asus P5Q-E, @ idle, itz running @ 22-25C and motherboard @ 32-35C

not gonna be running Crossfire in the future, so is this board good or should get another 1? any suggestions?

That's a good board.
What's your memory?

Great. You are ready to go.

it appears you have a good motherboard but your cpu does not really comply because p45 is positioned for Quad processor. Of course it works well...but also quite costy..why not downgrading to p35 or p43 if your demand already fits in,such as P43 Neo3 FR(MSI) or EP43 DS3R(GBT).Might be more economical for you.
cheers

as with the MSI board, we don't have it here in Canada and didn't had a good experience with MSI when i had my socket A

as with the GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3L, i just picked 1 up for $90 CAD, as for the ASUS P5Q-E, it was $160 CAD, so i should just sell this 1 back out ehh?!?

$90?quite cheap.normally it cost arnd 100~110 usd.but actually i don't recommend this board. Too many were fooled by the 2oz and all solid cap.In fact you can refer to test result.Obviously its truely marketing tactics but help for nothing.
So maybe i wil not recommend u to sell p5q-E.among the dissipation tech,i recommend msi Dr.Mos.Very effectively cool.(refer to test result here..i forgot where).Quite curious why CA has no salespoint of msi product.

I guess you can find msi board by visiting and contact with below sites to know where to buy which is close to your location:
www.daiwa.net
www.asipartner.com

Probably msi mainboard is only available on-line directly from these two companies. I got my P45 neo 2 which is with msi DrMOS @around 98CAD when I was back in Taipei. This is the first msi board I ever used. I have looked around msi mainboard product to see what theirs are good/bad about and I thinks the "drmos" makes the board really cool...

Obviously, 2oz copper is just marketing. One would have to be an idiot to believe in that. However, the P45-DS3L is quite a good board to OC on esp. for the $90-100 range. No CrossFire,RAID,etc. If you want CrossFire get the P5Q.

DO NOT get an MSI. I find their quality control lacking. Get a Gigabyte, BIOSTAR (esp. their mid to high priced P45), or ASUS. Again, DrMOS is just marketing, real world impact is neglegable due to the other parts of the MSI boards bottle necking it.

Can you share your exprience about MSI about their quality control lacking? I got the P45 Platinum D3 before and Dr.MOS really works great! It cools down so faster and consistantly.
