i just been to a computer market that consists of 4 building and 8 floor each. talked to a guy who put computers together and when i ask i want a 400W PSU at least he gave me some surprised and weird look. he said MOST build only has max 300W PSU and 400W is ALOT. when i told him in UK at least is like 500W he was like wordless.

but anyone know how well the Intel C2D E4500 will OC? thats what i will be getting instead of the E7200 because budget is the limit.

Well, if you don't have a power hungry graphics card, 400W is a lot more than necessary.

Oh, and the E4500 should overclock fine. It's a core 2 duo :D

welll that is wow...
here in canada, in the army, tech support center, school, most comp only needs about 300w or 350w psu, without a graphic card you'll probably only need 300W,

NO ONE working at a goverment or school or whatever really needs some C2D, you just need a be2400 or e2160, there is no need for video card, sound card, 2nd hd 40 gig at the office is plenty enough...!

the only reason to need more than 350W is that you work on some special project, drawing or dooing some research...

myself i use a 350W psu
be2400 with zalman fan
7900gt with zalman fan
2 hd (wd & seagate)
2 dvd-rom
and i have no problem at all!

in the real world psu's do not need to be that great, it's only in the skewed reality of these forums that you need such large psu's.

Well, if you're going to do something crazy, like an overclocked quad and triple GT200s, you might need a fairly healthy supply.

Should have walked him over to a PC hooked up to the internet and brought up newegg: ENERMAX Galaxy EGX1000EWL 1000W

And said.. see, 1KW. Do you have any for say.. $20? or have the parts to where I could build one?
