I would not be 100% about that... You can get a pair of 4850's for $319.98 after volume discounts and MIR's. Hell, that is only $9.99 more than a single 4870. I am pretty sure the CrossFire setup will PWN most single card setups in most games.

Yeah, I defiantly do not like the single slot designs.
Dumpin heat all up in my case...
HIS should be releasing their IceQ version of it pretty soon which should help a lot.
Until then, it is just a good excuse to upgrade your systems ventilation.
A dremel/4.5" drill bit and a few extra 120mm fans should do the trick.
