HELP with I7 920 + Asus P6t Deluxe

hey guys heres my set up:



i7 920
OCZ StealthXStream OCZ700 PS
ASUS P6T Deluxe V2
COOLER MASTER V8
G.SKILL 6GB DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666)
EVGA 896-P3-1255-AR GeForce GTX 260
windows 7 rc1

right now its in a basic case with the side open....but it will soon to be moved in to a
COOLER MASTER HAF 932 once i get it on monday....anyways im been trying like crazy to OC this thing for like 2 days now
i read just about every thread about OCing the i7 with this mobo ...and set everything as others said..but still it crashes if i set BCLK Freq to 200 then it wont even post...i got it in to windows with these settings as recomend by a user called

is there anything im missing??

now with the settings like this im getting a BSoD when trying to load windows...if im lucky enough to get it in there it will crash as asoon i run prime95 and CPU-z/Realtemp tells me all my cores are in the 40sC and im running about 3.7 or about 3.8...

i would like to get this CPU to stay in about the 3.7's as i do HDvideo editing in Premier Pro /After effects ...games are cool but not my goal ...
anyone with a set up like this has any advice ? i read just about every webpage there is about Ocing the i7 (theres alot) most even talk about this mobo...but always ends in failing

i would like to see it go to 3.95 too...but most likely like you will keep it about 3.6/7

as for the update could you pls link me where you saw ppl are loosing audio? i would like to read more on that...i use optical right now for the audio if that matters...

wow your setting of
CPU V - 1.45
does sound a bit much ,in no forums i read going above 1.35 , but i to get the issue where the screen goes black where should post and not boot in to windows, then once a force restart it will work,then the cpu gets reset to 2.66
still dont know what the right settings are

you need 200 bclk to get those settings
i am using p6t delux v2
3.6G i guess you could go for 180bclk or 200
for 180 you won't need that much voltage for qpi
200bclk*18=3.6Ghz
what's you ram again?1600?

try using lower qpi until you get it stable
try the settings above first and see if it work
just make sure your ram is running on 1333 cause memory modules in this speed isn't designed for overclocking
if you want better bandwidth i suggest you work on timings
