my pc spec :-

proc : amd athlon 64 X2 s940 am2 3.0ghz

mobo : gigabyte GA-MA69G-S3H

ram : ocz2 reaper 2gb pc800 ddr2

i just bought the same ram to make it up 4gb , same reaper brand same everything

i've tried one by one and the windows only load at 3gb . then , when i restart the comp , BSOD coming out showing this :-

STOP : 0x00000050 ( 0xE33FA000, 0x00000000, 0x806389DC, 0x00000001)

then when i put full 4gb , the comp doesn't start at all

i check minor adjustment ( loose clip , right direction etc..) but it still didn't work

when put back 2gb to normal , those BSOD came out everytime i restart or shutdown my comp

1) STOP : 0x00000050 ( 0xE3359000, 0x00000000, 0x806389DC, 0x00000001)

2) STOP : 0x00000050 ( 0xE37E4FA000, 0x00000000, 0x806389DC, 0x00000001)

There are a couple things keeping you from seeing the full 4GB.

1) You will need a 64bit OS, 32bit cannot address all of 4GB.

2) Your motherboard might not support all of 4GB either, a BIOS update may be needed.

As for the BSOD's, run memtest, could be bad ram. Or, did you play with the memory timings, OC?

Wasn't there a windows hot fix for Athlon systems with 4gb or more of RAM due to some instability issues?
