I have two 250 gb maxtor maxline plus 2 drivesthat I can not initiate or format for they are locked.
Has anyone been succesfull in unlocking and formating SATA's that have been locked by 3ware controllers?

Can't you try plugging them in directly into your motherboard, rather than the RAID card?
