Currently using a Q6600 OCed to 3.2ghz. But most games, don't even use even 2 cores such as TF2. Which is the main game I'm playing. The FPS on it drops down to 30 in intense fights, since it uses only 1 core, so I was wondering if anyone knows any info on a good CPU that could be out even half a year or so.

Does the Nehalem gonna have dual core CPUs or is it only quads, because I want a DC nehalem and OC that bad boy like there's no tomorrow since Quads don't yield as high clock frequencies.

Which GPU do you have with that CPU? Have you considered that would be your bottleneck.

Yeah, I'd have to agree a 3.2GHz Q6600 is not holding back your TF2 performance.

3870 Crossfired, 4gb ram, x38 mobo. Source games are all CPU dependant, and they only use one core. My fps goes from 150 to 30 depending on the number of people on the server. Normally it hovers around 30 to 50.

I heard someone said Nehalem series will include dual core CPUs.
