Hi all, posting this from my iPhone. i was hoping someone could help me with some problems.
I recently was infected with and removed Alureon, the browser hijacking rootkit. I downloaded and ran Kaspersky's tdsskiller tool and it appears to have worked.
However, since having the tool "cure" the infected file, I have not been able to use any Internet browsers. I get error 105 when using Chrome. I KNOW I have Internet working on my machine because I can still use Steam. I think some http configuration may have been corrupted, and system restore doesn't work.
I greatly appreciate any help. I was unable to find anything like this that offered any help.
