Final Decision In need of Assistance

I am looking for a hard-drive and have decided upon two products:

The Seagate 500GB FreeAgent Desk External HD
or
Samsung Story Station 1.5 TB External HD

They are about the same price (the seagate being the cheeper of the two by $20-30 but which should I get? Which is more reliable or would be better for me?

I do graphic design, so I have quite a few images (5,000), plus I have an extensive music collection (only about 12 GB right now). What do you think I should do?

I'd go for the higher capacity.
You also have the option of building one yourself.
