Hey all.

I've got mac mini plugged into my TV at home. The little thing only has 30gigs of space on it, So I bought an external hard drive.

It's using USB2.0, but if I'm watching video files from it, they tend to skip all the time from slow transfer rate. It has a firewire connection in the back, Any of you know a nice external around 1TB of space that could speed up my transfer rate?

Do have your TV a 1394 port?, if it's correct, try with this.

No it doesn't:( I just have a VGA cable from the mac to the TV, and the hard drive is plugged into a USB2.0 port in the back of the mac.

Uhmm, sorry but I don't think that you can increase the speed with a USB 2.0, you maybe need another type of conection to do this.

Yeah, I was thinking Firewire. But I just can't find a decent external online that I like for a good price that *uses* firewire.
