For the money, you're better off going with 8GB of DDR2-800 with low latencies. Every review I've seen of DDR3 shows the increase in performance is not worth the cost. Also, with Nehalm just around the corner, I wouldn't spend $400 on a motherboard that will be obsolete by next year. You're best bet would be to go with an e8400 CPU, an ATI 4870 GPU, a p45 chipset mobo, and good DDR2 RAM.
Unless of course you also like the Extreme Mobo's upgraded sound, the built in eSata, the CrossfireX, the water or air cooling on the chipset (stock), the HDD Speeding disk, and the dual bios! AND the DDR3 support
And if you are a Caseless Clocker the one of a kind on mobo controls!
