Hi,
I just checked out the Acer Easystore H340 NAS storage, and from the first sight it seems to be very nice and cheap solutions. However, it does not come with hardware RAID controller. But it has an available PCI-E x1 slot. So I was thinking about buying a PCI-E raid controller, plugging it into the box, and getting the full advantage of RAID 5.

So, do you think if it would work out? What are the things I might need to worry about?

Well, aside from price, the compatibility of the RAID card with your motherboard.
