Hi guys,

I'm finally switching over from XP to Vista (Business edition) and I want to upgrade my memory from 2gig to 4gig.

I know, and have experienced, the problems with the striker (bios crash) and I want to be certain I'm going for the most stable combination, so could someone please recommend some memory for me please?

if you're really concerned about stability with your specific motherboard, check the manufacturer's website to see if they have a list of ram that has been tested with the particular board that you have.

try and get as close as you can to your 2 gigs that you already have. match voltage, cas latency, and speed in that order.

You are adding 2 gigs, not replacing it with 2 x 2 gb sticks and going with business 64 right?

Just to clarify, the motherboard is the striker extreme and I'm switching to Vista business 32bit.

I've got two sticks of 1gig memory in at the moment, so I'm going for two new sticks of 2gig memory.

The memory I've got in at the moment is Corsair ddr2 6400 xms2 extreme.
