Anyone know if the Nvidia's distributor Zotac is any good? I know everyone usually buy xfx or evga, but there is this 8800gt going for a nice rebate by this company. Have any of you guys had any experience with this company?

Btw here is the card -

I think they're fine... haven't personally had one but I hear they are fine and are just cheaper versions of the more prestigious brands

You can get an 8800 GT for cheaper than 200$

for 200$ you should just get a 9800 GTX or an ATI HD 4850 they are better cards at that price point

i'd recommend that for a 9800 GTX - EVGA is a good company with excellent support

i'd recommend this for an ATI 4850, this MSI model comes with a copy of "The Witcher" which is a great PC single player RPG

This is another ATI 4850, its from Visiontek who have good product support.

Anyways, make sure you do good research and shop around when you buy a product! 200$ for an 8800 GT right now is very overpriced! :P

i've noticed fxvideocards selling a lot of clearance stuff - are they good with RMAs?

Never bought or returned anything to them, so no personal experience. Their main supplier is Zotac though and they seem to have the best prices on Zotac cards. There are some people here who have purchased from them and have reported they were reliable.

cool, that 159$ 8800 GTS 512 is a legitimately good buy if you intend to overclock it =)

Zotac is an okay brand.

Hum, thx for the replies. But that zotac actually cost 169.99 minus $30 rebate. So what do you guys think? And no i dont have $200 bucks to spend on a card. The reason why i asked was because for the final cost. Another card i have in mind is this 8800gt. $169.99 w/ $20 rebate.

The gts outperform the gt by 10-15%. If it's cheaper, there's no reason to go with the slower and more expensive card.

The 8800gts perform the same as 4850, but overclocks better and runs cooler. At that cost, it's the best bang for the buck.

the 8800gts (g92) is retailing about 209~ bucks. But they have huge rebates. I would love to buy one, but rebates cant always the trusted.

That's true. But I still don't get it. For that 8800gt, you're paying $170 out of pocket, with $20 mir. For 8800gts, you're paying $160 out of pocket, with $40 mir. Even if you don't count on rebate, it's still $10 cheaper. :p
