Hi ,

I am trying to install a samsung 1 Tb internal hard drive in my dell dimension e520. the sata 5 no port is what i am using for the data transfer on the mother board. I did change the settings in the BIOS..but i am still unable to see my hard drive in my comp.well it can be seen in my devices...but not in my computer..please advice..

you may need to create a partition 1st

XP or Vista?

from memory it's basicaly......

start - control pannle - adminiastritve tools - computer manager

Storage - disk manager


You should then see all the disks and how they have been alocated
