Which x38 motherboard!?

Hey guys

I want to upgrade my computer:

specifically that motherboard. Im looking at the x38 chipset as the x48 is a bit too expensive for me!

Anywho...

Im stuck between the

[] Asus P5E3 Deluxe

and the

[] Asus Maximus Extreme

I dont really know which board to get!

But i know that i can get the Maximus cheaper. But i dont have watercooling to cool the northbridge.

So what to do...

Your opinions please.

Hi there, thanks for the reply, But i need a ddr3 Motherboard, as i have some ocz reaperX....

and an x48 ddr3 mobo is too much for me sadly

I am upgrading from a Gigabyte EP35C-DS3R

Any thoughts?

Ahhh.....

In that case, the Maximus Extreme is a very nice Mb but not worth the $110 premium.
Go for the P5E3 Deluxe.

If you did not already have the DDR3, I would recommend sticking with a DDR2 Mb.
Not enough of a performance difference to make the switch worth my while until i7 is out, IMHO.

Thank you very much, i can get the maximus extreme cheaper than the P5E3 Deluxe.. so i think i will go with that one !
