Ok So my boss just bought a new 500gb IDEI Hard drive and wanted me to put a fresh copy of windows pro xp...Well i ran the cd from boot and it formatted and installed windows on the hard disk...now when i boot up it shows no hard drive...in bios nor reg boot...

He has an old compaq presario desktop if you need the id number or name Just let me know

Disconnect the HDD and conect again, after use the recovery tools of the xp cd.

Or try with hiren's boot, on CMD write: chksdk /fix mbr

Boot from the CD and use partitions tools, you can select Partition Magic, special Fdisk....many options....
