I had / have XP on my computer and I am trying to get a new and/or fresh install but each time I load my XP CD it installs the new operating system but does not delete the old programs on my system.
In other words it will not allow me to reformat or delete my C: partition…tells me there are setup files on the drive that are needed, etc.
Once the operation completes I have a new XP installed, but if I go to programs folder, all my old programs are sitting there taking up 40 gb of space.
What I would like to do is be able to get to a point where I can delete my C partition then install all new stuff. All help / steps appreciated.
