I'm building a new computer, primarily for gaming. After about a week of research I've settled on a Q9550 and EVGA GTX 260 FTW Edition. However, I'm having a tough time deciding on a Motherboard. I'm currently leaning towards an EVGA nForce 780i (great overclocker, SLI if I want it, solid reviews on Newegg) but I've also heard good things about the 750i and P45 chipsets and wouldn't mind saving $50 on the mobo. I'm planning on overclocking the q9550 to about 3.6 ghz and maybe a small overclock on the GPU.

BTW, SLI isn't required

I would recommend either an ASUS P5Q-E or Gigabyte GA-X48-DS4 and a 4870.

Intel based Mb's are much better than nVidia ones.
Better features, stability and overclocking.

The 4870 is also a much better choice.
It outperforms the GTX 260 in most games, even reaching the performance of the GTX 280 in some.
With a 4870, you will have the option of CrossFireing it on a superior Intel Mb at a later date if you require higher performance.
