Hey guys. I'm on my 3rd DVD burner and every single one has the same problem over time. I buy a burner, it starts out working fine, and after about a year or 2 all of a sudden they stop reading CDs....they'll only read/write DVDs. This is seriously the third burner this has happened with. All three were all different brands to. Sony, Pioneer, and LG. Why do they do this?

Just curious: how often do you use your drive? How often do your burn discs and the like?
