I didn't get any help in the audio section of the forums so I decided to post my questions here.

This system comes with a headset and a mixamp for $250, I'm going to buy it soon but I have a few questions.

What does a mixamp do? I've read about it but I'm still not too sure what it does.

Also, would it be worth getting a sound card for my PC to go along with this, if so can you guys recommend any good price/performance sound cards that work with Vista 64bit and works in a PCI-E x1 slot.

Any and all help is appreciated, thanks!
