i am using k8m8msr2 vc motherboard form jetways. Will it (ST9320421AS ) work with it

You probably need to install the RAID driver to make it work.

You may also need to set a jumper on the drive to limit the speed to 1.5 GB/s.

You need to install the VIA SATA drivers. Look on page 41 and 42 of the manual.

Pretty old mobo, check the BIOS to see if you can disable RAID mode but select IDE mode instead, that should make it work without having to install any driver.
