I've got twin BFG 8800GTX OC cards in an EVGA 790i Ultra MB. I've got Win XP Pro and Vista Ultimate, both 32 bit, in a dual boot setup.

All of a sudden, if I run XP, not in SLI mode, I'm unable to get both of my twin, Hyundai 24 inch monitors to run the same 1280x720 resolution on both. In Vista, I can run both at 1280x720, but in XP, it doesn't even list the same resolutions for both monitors when I run display properties.

One monitor shows fewer resolutions available than the other monitor. I can run both at 1900x1200, but not at 1280x720.

The reason I want to run that resolution is that the ol' eyeballs are beginning to age, and everything is just too small to read clearly at 1900x1200.

Has anyone run into this problem of why it will work in Vista but not in XP, especially when they used to do so?

Thanks for any help provided.

I have run into that but never found a fix. Its the XP drivers vs. the Vista drivers.

The most annoying thing is that it used to work, but all of a sudden, it changes!

Thanks!
