Hi; i was trying to get back my laptop recovery drive using Active Partition Recovery .. the software found it and build a separate partition in the hard disk and saved. it also found remaining data and OS and all in separated partition but i did'nt save the remaining as i wanted to install fresh win XP
i am having bootable CD contains all recovery S/W and Windws XP sp3 but now i am not able to install windows and getting error as BIOS read error

what bios error? the cannot detect hdd error?

you may need drivers (F6/txt mode drivers) or to set compatibility mode in bios to allow setup to detect the hdd
