Buddy of mine gave me my computer back today he found out the problem which was the hard drive so he replaced and and also put a new d drive in so I pop in a game that i wanted to reinstall and it isnt even reading it any solutions?

Welcome to the forums!

Make sure the DVD-RW is recognized in the bios and by Windows.
Update the firmware.
Temporarily make a disk image with Alcohol or your choice of program and run it with Daemon Tools or VirtualCD.
Check the drive on another computer.
If it works on another computer, you may need a bios update.
